Mike,

That page describes setting up a DNS for Chilisoft ASP to connect to a MySQL
database. The RaQ1 does not have Chilisoft installed and AFAIK it can't be
installed on a machine running mips architecture (RaQ1&2, Qube1&2). I know
old versions of MySQL could be installed on a RaQ1, but it's been a long
time since I've touched a RaQ1 that wasn't converted to run the RaQ2
software. Recent versions of MySQL can be installed on the RaQ2 from the
source code, but require libraries like glibc, egcs and libstdc++ to be
upgraded via RPM or source or the appropriate Cobalt RaQ2 package upgrade.
I expect that at least the same would need to be done on the RaQ1 since it
would have had the same or older versions of these libraries. I don't know
what level of expertise you have, but unless you're comfortable upgrading
libraries, installing from source and debugging error messages when
installing from source it could be quite difficult to install a recent
version on a RaQ1. Be prepared to search the archives and spend some time.
And I strongly urge you to at least install version 3.23.x as 3.22.x has
some security issues and bugs and is missing a lot of functionality found in
3.23. Also, there are numerous open source apps that require at least 3.23
to work fully or properly.
