I've been told that I need to get a 20G, 33-DMA drive, for a "straigh-across" replacement, but what I'm finding shoping around is that most stores in my area only cary 100-DMA drives now. Would it be impossible, or ill-advised to put a 20G, 100-DMA drive in it's place?
I think it should work fine - 100-DMA drives should just fall back to 33-DMA. But in your RAQ manual Cobalt quote the other specifications and other posts I have seen advise against drives faster than 5400rpm (probably due to increased head production).
Thanks...
