Stick a .htaccess file in the /web dir with the index.php and make the .htaccess file read (do not include the =='s):

=====
DirectoryIndex index.php index.html index.htm index.shtml index.shtm index.cgi index.asp index.php4 index.php3
=====

You can of course add / remove filenames as you see fit.

This should be all on one line and each file name seperated by a space only. The webserver will then look for them in the order
written.

You can of course put this line in the virtualhost section for that site in the httpd.conf

Note: you must have Indexes (or all but this is not recommended) enabled in the allowoverride section of access.conf for this to
work.
