Hello all!
I have recently launched a war on spam on my server. I first disabled all the catch-alls, and now we use pre-determined email address. I am about to change them all and send out notices. (private raq4, not hosting others sites).
I have a problem with networksolutions though. I have a email address that I set with them, but others have I guess, "farmed" it off of their whois database. Instead of changing this address, only to have it farmed and spammed again, is there a way on the raq4 to SHUT OFF the public from sending to an email address and just enter the place you want to receive mail from?
In other words, I WANT blah.blah@xxxxxxxxxx to RECEIVE mail from networksolutions, but nobody else. However, I dont want this to be global, in otherwords, mike@xxxxxxxxxx should still receive the whole world...
Can this kind of reverse filtering be done? I think it can VIA procmail, BUT the reason for this is to claim back the bandwidth spammers are using. I realize it is not much bandwidth, but its just the point. I pay for my bandwidth and I don't want to accept a data-socket from a spammer, even if procmail is just throwing it to the trash! Of course, this might be my only way to pull this off...
Any ideas?
Thanks
Mike
