5. If the email has nothing to do with the email you reply to, compose a new
message instead of replying and changing the subject (or worse - not
changing the subject).  It's confusing an ineffective if the message doesn't
have a descriptive and accurate subject.  And if you continue a thread by
replying to a message instead of starting a new thread by composing a new
message, then those of us who use mail readers that display threads or view
through list archives that do threading will be confused by, disregard or
otherwise completely miss your message.
