I suppose this article answers my wondering as to why I'm seeing so many
more Code Red probes
http://iwsun4.infoworld.com/articles/hn/xml/01/08/06/010806hnredtwo.xml

It talks of a new, more dangerous version that leaves a backdoor into
Microsofts buggy IIS servers. It also seems to be more active (or at least
more widely running) than the previous version. It's hitting me more than
twice as much as the original.
