Something strange happened to me. I have a home cable conexion (fixed IP)
from where i connect to my cobalt.
Yesterday my wife (she always does it) inadvertedly tried to telnet to my
machine (port 23) which is disabled. Portsentry imediately blocked my IP. I
came home this morning to discover i was locked outside my server. Through
another dial up conexion i removed the IP from hosts.deny and included it in
hosts.allow but still i cannot connect via cable modem (fixed ip). Am i
missing something? Where else should i look for? I also use BlackIce
firewall for my desktop but nothing seems to be wrong there.
Thanks for any ideas.
