We had the same problem on a raq3 earlier this year. The logs showed
nothing so it was impossible to troubleshoot. We just ended up moving 
all the sites to and server and doing an OS restore. It sure beats having
a server crash every 2 weeks without warning. Also after the OS restore
the problem vanished.
