S.o.m.e. possible causes of "performance" issues:
If your /etc/hosts doesn't have client IP's and machine names (if it's an
internal LAN)
If your users leave mail on the server (and there are enough users x enough
mail)
If your DNS is messed up and lacking proper MX records(such a big problem
that it becomes a thread on its own)
If your users are dialling in and sending/receiving from other ISP's see
above....DNS issues influence this too. Maybe their upstreams are having
server problems. Too many variables to even rationally consider.
How do they set up their Outlook(s)/Eudora'(s)/Netscape(s) for SMTP/POP3
More questions to ask:
What are *you* doing that is different?
Are you coming in from the same subnet?
Are you in the same building as the RAQ?
Do your users POP before or after SMTP?
What is the workload on the RAQ?? (memory/CPU utilization/# of sites/# of
users)
Drill down into the problem this way. The answer can only be found when some
of these (and other questions) have been asked and answered.

-Colin
