Hi Group,
We're running a few Ra3/4's and trying to clamp down
on all the SPAM coming into some of our machines.
We've installed and enabled the "pop-before-relay" pkg
as well as the latest RPM's (off the security list) to
harden the scripts after the recently security hole
with the "pop-before-relay" service.
Has anyone ever tried to use this list on one of their
RaQ machines?
http://www.fpsn.net/anti-spam/#site
The actual list is here:
http://www.fpsn.net/anti-spam/spam_list.cgi
The sendmail "access" file live in the same directory
on the RaQ's (/etc/mail) -but the RaQ's have a part
towards the bottom of this file instructing you to add
any "additions" under a certain line. The instructions
on the site instruct you to use the following cat
command to blend-in the contents of the SPAM file into
the "access" file under "/etc/mail"
cat list-name >> access
followed by:
makemap hash access < access
Will this work? I don't see any reason why not.. But I
thought I'd check to see if others have any experience
with this file/site or any input with doing something
like this to thwart SPAMMERS.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks!
Scott
