[cobalt-users] [RaQ3i] SOS >> Restore CD Failure

Hey All,

Well.... I am very frustrated and sad now... I finally procurred a Restore CD
from the FTP site that works, and got a machine set up that would boot from
CD, but now as I was running through the restore process something hung me up.

What happens is that just after the LCD panel says it's reformatting the hard-drive,
it goes into the next stage but hangs.

The LCD panel reads :

  3000R 3.148
  rpm 6/223 (0%)

and on my DHCP/OS restore screen it begins to ouput the following message once per line:

  hdd: lost interrupt

this message continues to be output to the screen and starts to scroll off the screen.  I figured
this was a hung situation, so turned the machine off and tried one more boot up process, which
produced the same results.

I'm kind of at whit's end now... can anyone offer any kind of clues now?

HELP!  SOS!
