Re: [cobalt-users] [Cobalt List] RaQ4R Email Attachments

If you cannot attach files in SquirrelMail its most likely to be problems with the ownership of the "tmp" or "attachments" directory.

I saw some instructions for installing SquirrelMail on RAQ's but they seemed incorrect and the only way it would work would be to have the "data" and "tmp" directories owned by "httpd" (the instructions recommended "httpd" for "data" and "nobody" for "tmp" - "tmp" is where the attachments were stored - but this would not work as the web server was unable to write into there!).

Hope that helps...

Don't know if this is a RaQ problem but when I attach a file in Outlook,
when it arrives at the other end, it sometimes turns it into an A4 chuck
of numbers and letters at the bottom of the email. This is on different
attachments. I also tried to send one from my account using SquirrelMail
but for some reason it wouldn't let me attach the file (4k), I get "Could
not move/copy file. File not attached ".

Help?
