Well I'm by no means Jeff Lovell but I can tell you that I know of no reason
why changing the root password should have any effect in fact I do it myself
on the advice of someone else who will remain nameless but has a very good
insight into how our boxes work.  Also I do know that PS have created a pkg
for a customer that properly splits the relationship between admin and root
so it must work Ok.
