I would suggest making sure that your CD-burining software is in fact making
a 'bootable' CD. Software like Nero you have to set a specific option before
burning a CD to make it bootable.

Subject: [cobalt-users] restore CD trouble
Hello,
I have finally downloaded a full RaQ3 iso from the sun cobalt site and cut
it to disk.
I cannot however figure out how to get my Windows 2000 Pro machine to boot
first from my F drive,
where the CD is placed at reboot. The CD is supposed to self-boot into a
DHCP/somthing server
that will hook in with the box to restore it "magically"...
I am concerned that perhaps W2000Pro has some kind of security feature for
preventing boot up from
CD rom? I have gone into my BIOS settings and set my boot-check sequnece to
F,A,SCSI, but even
that doesn't seem to work, and I always boot back into W2000 from C.
Any helpful hints out there?,
~ Theo
