RE: [cobalt-users] [RaQ3i] OS Restore CD >> Catch-22?

A crossover cable is different in that it has the wires "crossed". You can
get one at any computer supply store by simply asking for a crossover cable.
Looks exactly like a regular cable, except for right at the ends.

http://www.cabletron.com/support/techtips/tk0231-9.html should give you a
better explanation.

I don't know which iso you should use for the 3i, however. I have heard
various levels of success with the iso's and would recommend that you call
sun and request a cd, much more reliable, and then you know what you are
getting.

1-888-702-6225 is the number for sun.

Shawn,

Thanks much for the tips. Which iso image is recommended for the RaQ3i do
you think?

Also, is a crossover ethernet cable different from standard cable that you
plug into a port?
