The easy way: 
Immediately after making a virtual site, go in and remove index.html 
and replace it with an index.htm of your own making.
(I say index.htm so that FrontPage users don't have a hissy fit 
wondering why their own front page isn't showing up after they've 
uploaded their site.)
The hard way:
Do a search in the archives for "change default page" and be aware 
that this method will most likely void your warranty.
