Hello,
I think I have narrowed down my problem with reaching
my raq-unit over my LAN.
Reading the boot-up report from the serial console I
noticed these lines:
eth0: Invalid EEPROM checksum 0x6ceb, check settings
before activating this dev!
eth0: Intel EtherExpress Pro 10/100 at 0x1100,
00:10:E0:01:0B:5B, IRQ 11.
and then this also:
Setting hostname www.[something].net
rm: cannot unlink `/tmp/.lcdlock': Read-only file
system
Perhaps these messages may explain why I cannot reach
my unit through the LAN, nor reset my IP values
through the LCD panel?
How can I test my eth0 port via root-command-line, or
is there some other tests I might run? How screwed am
I if this NIC interface is completely broken? Are we
talking a lot of $$....?
Thanks much for any input out there...,
~ Theo
