Hello,
I am still trying to connect over TCP/IP with my RaQ3i
over a LAN and port-hub. The unit was already set
with IP, Netmask, and Gateway IP numbers, but I cannot
seem to change them via the LCD panel.
When I try to connect through my W2000 machine, I
cannot ping or reach the cobalt machine in any way,
although it seems like packets are reaching the raq's
interface card, because I see the Tx/Rx light light up
on the face of the unit when I try.
One thing that has me curious is whether I have my
W200O machine set up correctly to go through its NIC
card rather than the modem that is installed also. I
usually connect to the internet through modem, so I
don't know how to make sure or force W2000 to try to
access the RaQ unit through the LAN rather than
looking for its IP-# through the modem...?
Can anyone offer up any helpful advice on this? I
have been able to get a root command line by plugging
in to the console port on the back, but I don't know
how or what to watch through the console terminal
while I try pinging the box through TCP/IP...?
TIA!,
~ Theo
