When setting up their email accounts on the client machines, did they
specify pop or imap?
you are showing they should be specifying pop
Can they bring up a dos window and ping the same name they setup as
their pop server?
maybe these particular clients have problems reaching the pop
server
When they configured the outlook clients were they aware the pop server
is case sensitive for user names and passwords?
Does the server show any pertinent messages in /var/log/maillog?
