Hello,
I am sure this question has come up many times before, but I cannot find a
concrete answer anywhere.
Everyday, at 4:07 AM, I get an email to the root account stating:
"errors occured while rotating /var/log/httpd/access
error running prerotate script --
leaving old log in place"
Now, I am not sure what the problem is here, but I do know that all of my
web stats are screwed up. Currently, my access file is 240Mb large (yeah,
huge, I know).
Here is some information that my assist anyone in helping me find a
solution:
1. Running Cobalt RaQ 4r, out of the box, never installed any patches or
upgrades.
2. Installed mySQL, Interbase, ColdFusion
3. /var/log/httpd is a link to /home/log/httpd
4. Using Virtual Hosting, all on 1 IP Address (currrently 125 virtual Sites
on this RaQ)
If there is any other information you might need, please let me know
You can also email me directly at nick@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Thank you for any assistance
Nick
