It's only open for the IP address of the client that performed the POP
before sending. It remains in the poprelayd d/b for the timeout period and
is then deleted. If you often look in the poprelayd d/b you can see the
counter running next to the IP address until timeout (15 mins by default):
perl /usr/local/sbin/poprelayd -p
