Possible things that come to mind, in no particular order:
Corrupt / missing apache module,
- candidate
Bad memory, disk/hardware/fan
- mmmh, but doubtful. The same error does not occur in the
adm_error logfile.
Dead Fan
- doubtful
Insufficient memory/swap
- candidate (memory usage is 80-90% on average, although there
is plenty swap available). A memory upgrade is being planned
in any event (128M -> 256M).
Incompatable apache module [eg mismatched mod_perl/php etc]
- prime candidate (PHP 4.0.5 was installed)
