I too have found this script great and as well did the mod's top it ..
It works great ! .. Not sure why you would have any problems with this
.. Our primary problem with the script was its CHOWN of the directory ..
After correcting that problem in the script all is well ..

Paul,
User version 1.3 rather than 2.0, set it to chown the files as 'nobody',
and comment out the lines where it creates the .htaccess files in the
actual webalizer.pl script itself. If your sites get a lot of traffic,
set Incremental to 'On' and uncomment that line and the line below it in
the config file.

That's how I've been doing it (with the exception of Incremental, which
I started back in Jan/Feb) for nearly a year now on RaQ4's and I've
still got my original stats with no problem.

It's not hell, really, if you understand that it's a script and it only
does what you *tell* it to do, it can't read your mind.  ;)
