Hi,
Yes you must make a Raq1 -> Raq2 installation with the Restore CD. This is
the Only way to do it.

Subject: [cobalt-users] RaQ1 dead in the water....
Okay, I've been playing around with my RaQ1 and finally gave up trying to
fix it. After reading some posts, I was under the impression that the RaQ2
restore program could be used on the RaQ1, so I tried it (downloaded from
the netherlands cobalt ftp server). The OS restore finally locked up with
the RaQ displaying "Starting Up" on the LCD.screen.
After reading other posts, I gather that I need to use the RaQ1 --> RaQ2 OS
program which was provided on the original OS restore CD. Am I correct
about this?
I contacted Sun about the restore CD and was told that the current version
they are shipping doesn't include the RaQ1 --> RaQ2 update software. If
this is indeed the route I need to take, can somebody please help me out and
tell me where I can get a copy of the program?
Sorry for the newbie question! Thanks for taking the time to read this.
