Hi there folks and folkesses,
I recently noted that one of our sites had the yellow warning light up for
disk space usage. The site had 10mb space allocated, and being a busy old
thing, the HTTP log had grown to a healthy 8.8mb size.
I TAILed the log into a new file, deleted the original and MV'd my new file
back to web.log. Job done, light green, me happy.
Clearly though, this was a dark turning point in my life as I then (in my
new-found log-editing life) went and edited another couple of files... I
can't remember _exactly_ what it was I did, but I think I also reduced the
/var/log/hpptd/access file.
THE PROBLEM IS DESCRIBED HERE, FEEL FREE TO IGNORE THE ABOVE :-)
When looking at 'Admin --> Site Usage --> Web' page, I see that the period
covered is 2001/05/28 04:40 - 2001/07/04 02:40 instead of what I was
expecting (2001/07/03 4:02 - 2001/07/04 4:02). The report was generated at
the normal time though; 2001/07/04 4:03. What have I broken?!!
Any help is greatly appreciated,
-Richard
