What really is poor on their part is any valid gte.net, etc. email address
can be used as the From address and their SMTP will allow the relay
regardless of where the mail is sent from. Why they can't recognize mail
coming from valid IP addresses in their network, as virtually every other
dialup ISP does, is beyond me. We're not talking a free service like NetZero
trying to prevent spammers from having multiple accounts here.
