[cobalt-users] Cron misconfig

Hi all,

I tried modifying the crontab for root recently and think I messed it up! I
changed the file "/etc/crontab" then did "crontab /etc/crontab" at the shell
prompt. This seemed to work, but now I keep getting errors from the crond:

Subject: Cron <root@acdesign> root run-parts /etc/cron.monthly
Message: /bin/bash: root: command not found

The crontab is currently:

SHELL=/bin/bash
PATH=/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin
MAILTO=root
HOME=/

# run-parts
# 01 * * * * root run-parts /etc/cron.hourly
47 3 * * * root run-parts /etc/cron.predaily
02 4 * * * root run-parts /etc/cron.daily
17 4 * * 0 root run-parts /etc/cron.weekly
32 4 1 * * root run-parts /etc/cron.monthly

# Monitor services to make sure everything is still okay.
0,15,30,45 * * * * root /usr/local/sbin/swatch >>/var/cobalt/adm.log 2>&1

Can someone tell me what I did wrong? All I want is for the contents of
/etc/cron.predaily to be run just like cron.daily (except 20 mins before).
This is so I can rotate my logs *after* I generate stats from them, both of
which needs to be done daily.

Any help much appreciated!
