Well *if* we're going to kick this thread back into life,
let's get our facts right.

says it was an 80186.

You'll note that it was not fully PC-compatible.
Not to argue with anyone, but... I do believe that the name has been used for more than one machine. I used to work at a computer store some years ago. We sold Acros brand computers - retail division of Acer at the time. They also sold a server line called Altos. They then changed all their machines to Acer I believe. (Of course they make stuff for many people including their OEM stuff sold as AOpen).
