Re: [cobalt-users] Cron Question (newbie)

Run 'rpm -qa | grep cron' the output should be something similar to
this:
  crontabs-1.7-6
  vixie-cron-3.0.1-40.1C2

If so, cron is installed but not started.  Check to make sure that 
'/etc/rc.d/init.d/crond' exists.  If it does than execute that file
with the 'start' parameter and try to 'ps aux' for it again.  If still
no process, look for a log file called /var/log/cron.
