RE: [cobalt-users] Emumail

Jerry,

You need to telnet in as root then go su.

go to /var/lib/cobalt/uninstallers

chmod 755 emu* to set the uninstaller as executable

then ./emu* to run the uninstaller script.

I have successfully done this several times with no problems.

Not the answer your looking for but you might want to try telneting into the
server and running "TOP".

My suspicion is that you'll find emumail.fcgi listed as an active
application or process. We have a server in near same situation and are
trying to get some feedback from EMU support about how to completely and
properly remove all portions of their software. Our situation is different
in that the software doesn't show up in the GUI, it's only listed as a
process when you run TOP.

If EMU passes any useful information on to us I'd be happy to share it with
you.

bad move.
You can use that command to remove an rpm,
but use the uninstallers to remove a pkg file.

Try going to /var/lib/cobalt/uninstallers
look for the package name
and issue the command /var/lib/cobalt/uninstallers/the.pkg
