I also had a devil of a time burning an iso image for a raq 3.
When burning the .iso file to a cd rom; make sure to use a regular data
cd selection. Do not make the cd bootable; and use a cd recordable cd.
(writable didn't work for me)
What worked for me was the EZ cd Creator, newest version. You can also
download a demo
cd creator from nero.com. If the cd is burned correctly; you should see
a listing of several files; not the .iso file and not one or two files
with a .bin extension.
