RE: [cobalt-users] MySQL on XTR

If you already got MySQL on it you need to do this to make it work (worked
for our 2 XTR's):

added to /etc/httpd/php.ini the line
extension=mysql.so

We've modified the /etc/rc.d/init.d/mysql and added 2 lines to the start
script:
rm /tmp/msyql.sock
ln -s /var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock /tmp/mysql.sock

restarted httpd and mysql and it looks like it works.

Subject: [cobalt-users] MySQL on XTR

We've just added an XTR to our platform, it's our first Cobalt product,
after tons of hassles it seems to be functioning properly. We need to
install MySQL on the appliance, however I cannot find any specific
reference to anyone having done it. I do find a reference in the Cobalt
knowledgebase about a RAQ3 and making sure that MySQL is install prior to
PHP, well that would be a problem on the XTR since it comes pre-installed
with PHP. Has anyone attempted this, and if successful can you pass along
any documentation or install instructions you may have. Thanks.
