[cobalt-users] Qube2 - lots of question

Hello subscribers,

I'm pretty new in things around Cobalt Qube. I bought a little Qube on ebay and now I'm a little helpless. At first: Is there someone who would copy the "software restore" cd for me? I did'nt get any piece of software with it. Except the installed system resides on the hdd.

2. What's the most recent kernel version of Qube2? Mine is 2.0.34C53_SK. Seems to be pretty outdated to my intel driven redhat box. 3. Someone with a nice ./configure line to update Apache to 1.3.19? Compiling works so far, however the directory structure is pretty different to my intel-redhat-box. I'm looking for an ./configure which basically is updating the binaries without touching all around directory structure, *.conf, *.logs and stuff. I mean: I'd like to keep the structure /home/groups/home instead /usr/var/httpd or so. Possible?
4. PHP 4.0.5 running as DSO? Any suggestions?
5. I bought an american Qube. What about ISDN? Is it possible to upgrade that fancy little computer to ISDN by myself? What ISDN card should I get? What about drivers and ISDN4LINUX?

Thanx in advance,
Martin

Trying deleting the database, it is located at:
/var/lib/slocate/slocate.db

Then execute updatedb&.

Also you could specify a new database at the command line of updatedb
Read: man updatedb

Are you trying as root or as another user. Maybe the user does not
have
read permissions on the database.

-----Oorspronkelijk bericht-----

error is similar to:

 [root@web cron.daily]# locate something
locate: decode_db() aborted. Corrupt database?

should I delete the database and then run the slocate.cron script ? -
if
so
what file should I delete ?

as root - sometimes it gives a few lines of where it finds the info and
then
dies, sometimes it dies straight away - it is the more recent additions
to
the filesystem that are not showing. I had a partition full earlier and
that
could have caused it (?) - plenty of space now - but need to re-create
that
database wherever it is
