On our RAQ4, the GUI settings for an individual domain include
an "Email Server Aliases" field which I have left blank. The main
Server Management - Control Panel - Email Server - Parameters
settings has three potentially relevant fields : a "Smart Relay Host
Name" text field, a "Relay for the following Hosts/Domains" list
field, and a "Host/Domain Aliases" list field. I have my mail server
name (mail.domain.com) entered for the "Smart Relay Host Name"
and I have all my relevant domains listed in the "Relay for the
following Hosts/Domains" list, and I have none of them listed in
the "Host/Domain Aliases" list. All of the MX records point to
the proper mail.domain.com.

So why does the RAQ sendmail still insist on trying to find a local
mailbox for these domains?? If there is somewhere else that I need
to set something? If so, someone please tell me and I will stop
posting this problem.
