Having a similar problem...
on a machine connected to the net type
host ns1.hardynet.net you'll see an IP returned
then type
host the_ip_number_you_just_got
Bet you that you'll get a message saying host not found
Some folks have told me it's due to the way Cobalt writes out the
PTR records, others say that the folks who own the IP's need to
do something about the reverse lookups.
But, right now, I have a customer who can't move his domain to me because
his registrar is telling him that ns1.mydomain.com doesn't exist.
