Get rid of Windows ME.. it is the biggest piece of Crap O/S out there and is
nothing but problems. W9x, NT 4.0 or W2k are all superior O/S's and much
more trouble free.
I to have had nothing but headaches and complaints about Win Me related to
network issues and constant crashing or lock ups.

Subject: [cobalt-users] Samba Passwords and Win ME
I have one computer on a network that cannot access our RaQ3. It sees the
Cobalt on the network, but the Cobalt will not accept the password. All of
our other computers access properly. They are running Win NT or Win 98.
The problem computer is running Win ME. All are set up in the same way in
the "passwd" and "smbpasswd" files. Is there a patch similar to
"Win98_PlainPassword.reg" for Win ME? Or is there something else I should
try?
Thanks for your help.
