Basically in my case it was plug and play.
I installed it in a RaQ4 and it hasn't missed a day for any of the sites in 
the server.
In other words it has been completely reliable
My experience with webalizer is exactly the opposite; after a couple of 
days it started missing dates, etc.
BTW its the same server with all the upgrades and patches but without 
further modification made at all.
