Yeah.
As things are going with cobalt right now and their updates.... I think
that several of them should be done alone. I have NO IDEA why a version
update would even need to touch the conf file.
Get to know tarballs. I installed mysql from the tarball, and trust me, I
think it's better, because you *see* where does he put things.
Not to mention that some versions install it running as root and if u tell
it to run as a different user it crashes (permission problems with either
the mysql data dir ot the socket file). One should learn and use cobalt's
help as least as possible (if there's such a term in english, i dunno :P)
