well, admin pages coming from a raq3 work with both browsers on a mac. Are
your really sure, you tested the latest releases of these browsers?

- MSIE 5
- NN 4.77

Apart from that, there are some other browser which can be used. iCab
(http://www.icab.de/) seems to work. Opera from http://www.opera.com
(unstable release) might work, too.
