[: How can I tell what update packages have/haven't been installed on a
RaQ4i
: or do I just have to download and install everything at
: http://www.cobalt.com/support/download/raq4.eng.html ?]
For the brave: Telnet to your box and do a "rpm -qa" for a complete list of
installed programs.
For the not so brave: A pkg file is a .tar.gz file (tar-ball), so if you
rename it and un-tar it, you can see the packages installed by this
particular update.
You'll also see a file called versionckeck.pl. A script, which looks for
installed packages first, before installing a new one.
Conclusion, downloading and installing everything bottum up isn't such a bad
idea.
