[cobalt-users] restore & root password

hi,

I have the following problem with a Cobalt RaQ4:

- I did a full backup of the RaQ4 via Legato Networker (server version
6.0)
- built the RaQ4 from scratch with the Cobalt Restore CD.
- then restored all files from tape to the RaQ4. Everything looks ok,
but I can't get root anymore.
  I login with telnet and the admin account and try to "su", but I
always get "su: incorrect password".
  Even resetting the password on the front of the server doesn't help :(

What's wrong here? Which files shouldn't be backed'up/restored to
prevent this?
