One application is to connect the RaQ via the 2nd NIC to a database server
so that for security reasons the DB server isn't accessible directly via the
internet.

Thanks for the comment. I was trying to make my Cobalt accessible from each of two networks, using the two interfaces,
but haven't been able to get access from the second one yet. I've added the subnet mask and IP and rebooted, but am unable to ping it from 
a management PC on network #2. Am I missing an obvious step?
