The RaQ2 runs on mips architecture, which isn't as heavily supported as the
x86 architecture in the RaQ3. Getting programs to compile on the RaQ2 is
often more difficult and RPMs are generally unavailable for the RaQ2.
Consider your Linux admin skills and what you want to do with your server
before chosing a RaQ2 over a RaQ3 and consider what your time is worth b/c
you may spend more time with the RaQ2 if you plan on installing a lot of
software. The RaQ3 also has a faster processor and more features.
