I don't know of a .pkg but try http://java.sun.com/j2se/

Choose the SDK if you plan to develop Java apps on your cobalt.

There is a tar ball of shell script that works on every linux flavour i have
seen.

The RedHat RPM should install on cobalts which run a hacked RedHat distro.

I'm a newbie in cobalt raq4 and linux and I have to install
the java runtime 1.3 to our server.
but ... where can I find the .pkg, can I directly download
to server, what is to do after that
(is there a need to integrate to start-procedures).
