Hello and welcome Hannah!
To edit DNS files, you'll need to be logged on as root. The config files are
located in /etc/named/
!!BUT!! Any changes made will be overwritten next time you do anything with
the DNS GUI. Best to do stuff through that wherever possible, or use include
files. What is it you're trying to achieve? Maybe one of us will be able to
help.
Good luck,
-Richard
