You are saying that the Cobalt RAQ has been intentiaonally designed to ignore
 standard
Interent rules and that it is not supposed to be used to host websites
unless it
 also is
allowed to handle mail for all mail accounts under the same domain?

No where in any of the documentation does it say that it MUST ALWAYS be used
as BOTH webhost AND webserver. If that is true, then I want my money back.
That

is just absolutely absurd. It makes no sense why they would not allow
people to
 use
the Cobalt RAQ as a webserver only.

Sure you can BUT dont use COBALTS DNS then...hey we got grabbed in the butt
by assuming the DNS is like "REAL DNS" we got hacked on the bind hack a few
mo's ago...we did DNS on 2 HP boxes, BUT always assumed we had to clcik the
DNS box on in order for the email etc to work...

Cobalt is doing a few things at the same time....like adding a DNS record
also updates the sendmail aliases file...hell IF I add an entry in the dsn I
need to also manually edit the aliases file for sendmail...here it happens in
one step...ok so we were stupid....IF you have a 1 purpose box.II do have to
admit that cobalt found an eloquent way to do all, w/o confusing a lot...we
have rented out quite a few cobalt boxes, all to webdevelopers, who want to
have their own box, and thus make a bit more $, and they work, because the
users dont have as much knowledge as you

please understand that adding an MX record in your cobalt is NOT JUST adding
a MS record ! that is all
