Yes, we are using NAT. For troubleshooting purposes we back tracked by
turning off all of the services except for our email server and SMB
service yet still no luck FTP'ing. So really all we have configured is:

1) The network (lan on primary ethernet, static ISP Ip on secondary
ethernet, use NAT, use IP Forwarding, use DNS of ISP)
2) mail service (15 users with basic mail config, no groups assigned)
3) Default of everything else

An oddity that may be related is that when I telnet in as root and go
into 
"tail -f /var/log/messages", 

every few minutes I get the message:
"in.qpopper[#...]: (v2.53)  Unable to get canonical name of client,
err=2"

I am beginning to wonder if maybe we should purchase the OS Restore CD
in case we messed something up while trying to setup our email service
especially since it worked before. What do you think?
