OK,
OK... now, back to work:
You've obviously had problems. Join the club. :)
Since you want to get them solved, let me suggest a method that works very
well for me:
1. Put each problem in a separate message, with a clear subject. Don't put
your MySQL problems in the same email with your DNS problems, since
different people have different skills and they can't all respond to the
same message without generating massive confusion.
2. Oh so many things have already been solved multiple times. Although it's
boring, somewhat difficult, and takes a while, searching the archives does
in fact produce some excellent results. You can find them at the link
posted at the bottom of every message to the list. A cute trick: write your
search terms into the box and add "Dan Kriwitsky" as well. The man has an
uncanny knack for finding previous answers, so you'll probably find posts
from him pointing you to the answer someone else provided earlier.
3. Try to provide as much detail as possible. More information is better
than less, since what you say is *the only thing* we have with which to try
to help you.
4. When replying to anyone, try to select and keep just the parts that are
needed and delete the rest (called trimming). This keeps individual emails
shorter, easier to read, and thus makes sure that your stuff gets more
attention. Also, since it is considered more "professional" to trim posts
and write neatly, you will also see that this gives you more attention from
the community and more help.
Hope this gets you started.
