[cobalt-users] [RaQ1/RaQ2] Will not boot after restore from OSR CD

Hi,

I have a RaQ1 (I think!) that I have inherited from the previous SysAd, but he
tried to install FreeBSD on it, and then ran off with the hard disk, so....

I replaced the hard disk with a Maxtor 6.5Gb and re-installed using the
RaQ2.iso image, as directed by Cobalt. The machine happily whirrs away
installing, and then restarts, but just says "Starting Up" and does nothing.
The DISK light is on, but nothing else. This goes on for hours, but the Cobalt
readme says that installation should take about 15 minutes.

Does anyone have any ideas? Someone suggested that the battery on the CMOS
might have expired, but would this stop it booting? It net booted fine.
