The original poster probably had a good reason for choosing Interbase. I've
never used it, but I believe its features are similar to PostgreSQL, which
means it can do a lot of things that are difficult or impossible to do in
MySQL (triggers and subselects come to mind). I still use MySQL when it
suits the particular project, but I use PostgreSQL when it doesn't.
